friday morning goodness

friday goodness part II

so... i began the morning contemplating choices. that quickly morphed into contemplating happy thoughts. and those quickly turned into a list. a list of all things that make me happy. and thus i strapped my chubbers in the pack and off we skedaddled. it was a
do whatever makes me happy with no pressure kind of day.

our day:

-dropped the mr. off at work. he's so sexy. especially when he mugs on our sweetum's cheeks til the little guy squeeks and then growls (it's their thing). oh and he has the sexiest strut ever.in the world.

-i finally got my act together, bypassed the cop-out honey o's- frosted flakes routine and the occasional micky-d breakfast deluxe and actually CHOSE to cook mahself a little sumthin sumthin.

yes. yes i did. i ACTUALLY made myself a delicious concoction and labeled it my favorite little me time goodness and a smoothie.

-then...the list of endless possibilities. no real commitment until 4 ish and thus...to the mountains we ventured.

found this perfect spot and soaked in the sun.

within minutes of laying there, observing my sweet baby boy sit and take in all the sweetness that surrounded us, i realized something. this was his very 1st time experiencing the sounds and sight of a flowing river, the scent of live pine trees, the back drop of such natural and untamed beauty that thrives in what seems like our very own back yard. he then turned to me and with a tilt of the head, put his little hand on my cheek and gave me the sweetest "thanks mom" kind of look. twas as though time stood still, the busy worries dissipated and it was just me and him. experiencing God's grandeur. together.

-we then packed up and moved to discover a new little spot. up the cayon. sundance ski resort. in all of my 8 years here, i have never ventured here just for venture's sake.

-we then rescued papa from a busy work day and celebrated.
yay! he's ours for the weekend!

once home we relaxed with our usual family cuddle on papa time ... on to part III of our friday.
